  1. 杰西卡 发自 国庆版副驾寺 智能车参考 | 公众号 AI4Auto惨。自动驾驶正在全球范围内迎来新的春天，但对于第一波L4明星公司，并没有回暖迹象。图森未来已经转型AIGC游戏，另一家打着通用型自动驾驶第一股上市的Aurora，跌入了更深的谷底。作为谷歌无人车元老克里斯·厄姆森创办的公司，一度有着全球最高的无人驾驶估值，但如今三年过去，全球估值最的公司，市值已经蒸发过半。从今年递交的财报来看，情况糟糕：上半年归母净利润亏损3.47亿美元（约24亿元），毛利亏损2500万美元（约17580万元）。半年花掉9900万美元（约69615.8亿元）后，Aurora账上还剩下4.19亿美元（约29.5亿元）。最重要的是，没有营业收入。今年财报公布后，Aurora的股价一度跌超6%；上市之初最高135亿美元（约975.5亿元）的市值，只剩下68亿美元（约491.4亿元）。尽管如此，投资者似乎对Aurora，或者说对美国自动驾驶信心不死。在刚刚结束的一轮融资中，Aurora超额筹集到了4.83亿美元资金，折合人民币大概是34亿元，比原计划多出6300万美元（约44318万元）。但问题是，当前架构下的L4自动驾驶，真正达到可以规模化商业落地了吗？Aurora的deadline，今年年底。只出不进，半年狂亏24亿2017年，谷歌无人车开创者克里斯·厄姆森，创立了无人车初创公司Aurora；2021年，Aurora在美股以SPAC方式“借壳”合并上市。按照计划，今年年底就是商业模式的验收时刻。“大考”当前，Aurora在运营方面，表现得还很紧张：2023年合作营收为0，2022年可还有6800万美元（约47817万元）的收入；今年上半年递交的两份财报中，也没有再透露营业收入。由于没有营收，公司的支出直接体现为亏损。上半年净亏损3.47亿美元（约24.4亿元），亏损同比收窄16.2%；其中第二季度净亏损为1.82亿美元（约12.8亿元），同比收窄16.5%。毛利也在亏损当中，上半年毛利为-2500万美元（约18064万元），比去年同期亏损多出1500万美元（约10548万元）。第二季度的毛利为-1300万美元（约9141.5万元），去年同期为-500万美元（约3516万元）。支出方面，上半年营业费用为3.91亿美元（约23.6亿元），同比减少8%。其中，研发费用占大头，半年花费掉3.36亿美元（约23.6亿元），同比下降7.7%；销售、一般和管理费用为0.55亿美元（约3.9亿元），比去年同期减少9.8%。光第二季度，研发就烧掉1.7亿美元（约12亿元），但比去年同期减少9%。管理层在财报当中透露，研发费用减少，主要是由于开发车队的硬件成本下降，以及非现金股票薪酬下降；销售、一般及行政开支减少，则是人员成本，以及其他一般及行政开支减少所致。说白了就是，员工降薪减福利了。现金方面，主要的流动资金，来自现金和现金等价物以及短期投资。截至半年期末，公司有4.19亿美元（约29.5亿元）的现金流；自由现金流还没有转正，为-1.87亿美元（约13.2亿元）。如此看来，Aurora似乎还在经历“黎明前的黑暗”，也有人担心，Aurora是否会步图森未来的后尘。一年半没有营收、不断燃烧筹金的日子里，Aurora在做什么？投放商业模式进入倒计时不同于特斯拉等自动驾驶公司，Aurora追求的并非“完全自动驾驶”功能，也不打算拥有或运营大量车辆。“自动驾驶汽车就像是大海的沸腾，非常具有挑战性，”Aurora 联合创始人兼首席产品官斯特林·安德森曾表示：“大海太大了，不可能一下子就把所有问题都煮沸，解决某个具体问题。”Aurora瞄准的，就是无人驾驶卡车这一条赛道，并且计划以Driver as a Service（“DaaS”）的商业模式实现商业化。也就是，买家直接购买、管理搭载Aurora Driver的卡车，通过卡车提供相关服务，Aurora将按每英里收费赚取收入。另外，Aurora还计划以承运商的身份进入市场，和OEM、一级汽车供应商、车队运营商，以及其他第三方达成合作，预计年底，Aurora将提供20辆自动Paccar和Volvo卡车。以及，正在与Uber Freight合作，推出一项名为“Premier Autonomy”的计划：到2030年，Aurora将通过Uber Freight网络，提供自动驾驶商业服务。据Aurora透露，目前约有30辆自动运输卡车在德克萨斯州运行，每周为FedEx和Uber Freight 等客户运送75次货物。到2024年底，19辆无人驾驶卡车，将在休斯顿到达拉斯的240英里（约386公里）路段上行驶。计划不错，但是得烧钱。单单以每季度近两亿美元的研发费用，公司账户上4.2亿美元根本顶不住。Aurora也在财报中承认，过去曾因经营活动而产生负现金流，并且遭受重大损失，而且这种经营损失，他们预计还会持续。因此，他们表示需要筹集更多资金，来支持Aurora Driver的持续开发和商业化。就在8月初，Aurora宣布开启新一轮融资，出售价值高达4.2亿美元（约30亿元）的股票，最终超额筹集到了4.83亿美元（约34亿元）。对于这笔巨款，发言人Chibidakis透露，足够Aurora用到2026年，走上大规模部署无人驾驶卡车的道路，到2028年，公司将实现正向的现金流。筹资顺利并且超额完成，看来投资者仍保有信心，然而美国自动驾驶的发展，似乎不算一帆风顺。诞生于硅谷的美国自动驾驶五大家族：背靠福特和大众的Argo AI，尽管被狂砸20亿美元（约141亿元）的投资，最终却缺乏实质性进展，2022年宣告破产倒闭。Zoox曾试图打造技术、造车、运营“三手抓”路线，但资金链难撑野心，2020年，以13亿美元（约91亿元）的五折股价被亚马逊收购。通用汽车支持的Cruise，在旧金山、凤凰城等多个城市投放了Robotaxi，但去年“碾压事故”等风波未平，全美停运将近一年，最近才开始计划重返加州上路。除Aurora外的其他四家中，只有“同门师兄”Waymo，还在运营着一支车队，由700辆Robotaxi组成。而Aurora长期亏损，如今发展得靠融资支撑，年初还在1800名员工中，裁掉了3%。可以说身陷谷底，不知道是就此陨落，还是否极泰来。 (2024-10-01 20:26:46)
